IPO Watch: 5 IPOs to Watch Next Week as GMP Signals Strong Investor Interest

The Indian IPO market is heading into another busy week, with several mainboard and SME issues lined up for subscription. After a strong run of IPO listings in August, investors are now turning their attention to the next set of public issues and, of course, their latest Grey Market Premium (GMP) trends.

For IPO investors, GMP has once again become an important talking point. However, it is worth remembering that the grey market is unofficial and GMP should not be treated as a guarantee of listing gains.

Here are some of the key IPOs investors will be watching next week.

1. Hy-Tech Engineers IPO

Hy-Tech Engineers is scheduled to open for subscription on August 24, 2026.

The company has fixed its IPO price band at ₹50 to ₹53 per share, with the issue size estimated at around ₹135.73 crore.

The company operates in the engineering space and manufactures hydraulic fittings used across industrial applications.

The latest GMP available ahead of the issue is around ₹22, compared with the upper price band of ₹53. At this level, the implied GMP indicates a potential listing premium of roughly 41% if the grey-market trend holds.

Of course, GMP can change quickly before listing, so investors should track the trend rather than relying on a single day's number.

2. Symbiotec Pharmalab IPO

Another major issue opening on August 24 is Symbiotec Pharmalab.

The pharmaceutical and biotechnology company has set a price band of ₹938 to ₹988 per share and is looking to raise approximately ₹1,757 crore through the IPO.

Symbiotec has already attracted attention from institutional investors. The company reportedly raised around ₹526.20 crore from anchor investors ahead of the public issue, including participation from major institutional names.

The company is involved in the manufacturing of steroidal and corticosteroid APIs, along with CDMO and injectable capabilities.

For investors, this will be one of the more closely watched mainboard IPOs of the coming week.

3. Augmont Enterprises IPO

Augmont Enterprises is another IPO attracting significant attention.

The IPO opened on August 21 and will remain open until August 25, 2026. The price band is ₹750 to ₹788 per share.

The latest GMP data tracked by IPO Watch indicates a premium of around ₹300, although GMP is subject to change based on market sentiment and demand.

Augmont has also raised approximately ₹246.29 crore from 14 anchor investors ahead of its IPO. Mutual funds accounted for a significant portion of the anchor allocation.

With both institutional interest and a strong GMP being discussed, Augmont could remain one of the most watched IPOs during the subscription period.

4. Tempsens Instruments IPO

The Tempsens Instruments IPO is already open and has attracted strong attention from investors.

The company has fixed the price band at ₹285 to ₹300 per share. The latest GMP tracked by IPO Watch is around ₹250, which represents a very high premium compared with the upper issue price.

The IPO had received strong subscription interest during the bidding period, while market participants were closely monitoring its GMP.

A high GMP can certainly create excitement around an IPO, but investors should also look at the company's financial performance, valuation, business model and risks before making an investment decision.

5. Skyways Air Services IPO

Another IPO investors may want to keep on their radar is Skyways Air Services.

The company is planning a public issue of approximately ₹399 crore. Its business is focused on air freight forwarding and related logistics services.

The company has reported strong growth in revenue and profitability in recent financial years, while the IPO proceeds are expected to support business requirements including debt repayment and working capital.

Skyways is therefore an interesting issue to watch not only from a GMP perspective but also from a long-term business perspective.

IPO Market Sentiment Remains Strong

The recent IPO season has produced several impressive listings.

For example, Shiprocket made a strong debut after its IPO was subscribed nearly 99 times overall. Its shares opened at ₹142 against the IPO price of ₹97 and later traded significantly higher.

Similarly, Dhoot Transmission listed at a premium of around 38%, highlighting the strong investor appetite currently visible in India's primary market.

These strong listings have naturally increased investor interest in upcoming IPOs.

What Should IPO Investors Watch?

While GMP is useful for understanding current market sentiment, it should never be the only factor behind an IPO investment decision.

Before applying, investors should look at:

  • IPO valuation and price band
  • Company's revenue and profit growth
  • Debt levels
  • Promoter holding
  • IPO objectives and use of funds
  • Subscription numbers
  • QIB and NII participation
  • Latest GMP trend
  • Industry outlook
  • Listing-day expectations versus long-term potential

Most importantly, GMP is unofficial and can change at any time. Actual listing prices are determined by market demand after the shares begin trading on the stock exchanges.

IPO Watch: What to Expect Next Week

The coming week could be another busy one for the Indian primary market, with multiple mainboard and SME IPOs competing for investor attention.

Hy-Tech Engineers, Symbiotec Pharmalab, Augmont Enterprises and other upcoming issues will be closely tracked for their subscription figures and GMP movements.

For investors interested in listing gains, the next few days could provide important clues about market sentiment. However, long-term investors should look beyond GMP and study the fundamentals before making any decision.
