LEAP India IPO to Open on August 7; ₹2,480 Crore Mainboard Issue Draws Strong Market Attention Ahead of Launch

LEAP India Limited is preparing to open its Initial Public Offering (IPO) for public subscription on August 7, 2026. The public issue will remain open until August 11, 2026, while the company's equity shares are proposed to be listed on both the NSE and BSE on August 14, 2026, subject to the successful completion of the allotment process and regulatory approvals. With a total issue size of ₹2,480 crore, LEAP India has emerged as one of the biggest IPOs scheduled for August 2026.

The IPO has been priced in the range of ₹151 to ₹159 per equity share. The issue comprises a fresh issue worth ₹480 crore along with an Offer for Sale (OFS) of approximately ₹2,000 crore by existing shareholders, including KKR-backed entities. Retail investors can apply for a minimum lot of 94 equity shares, requiring an investment of approximately ₹14,946 at the upper price band.

Ahead of the public issue, the company has scheduled its anchor investor allocation on August 6, where leading domestic and foreign institutional investors are expected to participate. The anchor book will provide an early indication of institutional confidence before the IPO opens for retail and non-institutional investors.

LEAP India is India's largest technology-enabled pallet pooling and returnable packaging solutions company. Instead of selling pallets and containers, the company provides them on a rental and asset-pooling model, helping businesses reduce logistics costs, improve operational efficiency, and promote sustainable supply chains. This business model has become increasingly popular among companies looking to optimise inventory movement while reducing capital expenditure.

The company serves more than 900 customers across industries including FMCG, food & beverages, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, automotive, e-commerce, retail, consumer durables, agriculture, engineering, and logistics. It operates a nationwide network of 30 warehouses and seven outsourced pallet manufacturing units, supported by a workforce of more than 3,250 employees. The extensive infrastructure enables LEAP India to efficiently manage reusable logistics assets across the country.

One of LEAP India's biggest competitive advantages is its asset pooling model, where customers pay only for the duration of asset usage instead of purchasing pallets outright. This reduces upfront investment for businesses while improving supply chain efficiency and increasing asset utilisation. The model also supports environmental sustainability by reducing the production of single-use logistics materials and encouraging the reuse of industrial packaging assets.

According to the company's offer documents, the ₹480 crore fresh issue will primarily be utilised for repayment and prepayment of borrowings, strengthening the company's balance sheet, supporting future business expansion, investing in logistics infrastructure, and meeting general corporate requirements. Lower debt levels are expected to improve financial flexibility while supporting continued growth across India's logistics sector.

Financially, LEAP India has delivered strong growth during FY2026. The company reported revenue of approximately ₹747.36 crore, compared with ₹485.03 crore in FY2025, representing robust year-on-year growth. Profit after tax increased to approximately ₹62.34 crore from ₹37.56 crore in the previous financial year, reflecting improved operating efficiency and higher utilisation of its pooled assets. The strong financial performance has become one of the key reasons behind growing investor interest in the IPO.

India's logistics and supply chain sector continues to witness rapid transformation due to increasing e-commerce activity, organised retail expansion, manufacturing growth, warehouse automation, and implementation of modern supply chain technologies. Businesses are increasingly shifting toward asset-light logistics models, creating significant opportunities for pallet pooling and returnable packaging companies like LEAP India.

The company also benefits from long-term structural trends such as the expansion of the warehousing industry, increasing demand for integrated logistics solutions, implementation of GST-led supply chain optimisation, and growing adoption of reusable packaging systems. These trends are expected to support sustained demand for LEAP India's asset pooling services over the coming years.

Investor sentiment ahead of the IPO has remained cautiously positive. Grey market activity indicates a Grey Market Premium (GMP) of around ₹4 per share, suggesting a modest premium over the upper end of the issue price before subscription begins. Although GMP is an unofficial market indicator and should not be considered a guarantee of listing performance, it reflects current market expectations ahead of the IPO launch.

Industry experts believe LEAP India is well positioned to benefit from India's long-term logistics growth story. Rising investments in warehousing, organised retail, manufacturing, and supply chain modernisation are expected to increase demand for reusable logistics assets. The company's nationwide network, technology-driven operations, diversified customer base, and established market leadership provide a strong competitive advantage within the organised logistics services sector.

The company has also invested significantly in digital technologies to track, monitor, and optimise asset utilisation. Its technology platform enables customers to improve inventory visibility, reduce losses, manage asset movements efficiently, and optimise logistics operations. This technology-enabled approach differentiates LEAP India from traditional logistics service providers while supporting higher operational efficiency.

Despite its strong market position, investors should carefully evaluate certain business risks before investing. The company operates in a capital-intensive business requiring continuous investment in logistics assets, warehouses, and technology infrastructure. Business performance may also be influenced by asset utilisation rates, customer concentration, logistics demand, financing costs, and overall economic activity. Efficient deployment of fresh capital and continued expansion of the customer base will remain important for sustaining future growth.

With subscriptions scheduled to begin on August 7, 2026, LEAP India Limited has emerged as one of the most anticipated IPOs of the year. Supported by strong financial growth, a leadership position in India's pallet pooling industry, KKR backing, an expanding nationwide logistics network, and favourable long-term industry trends, the company is expected to remain in focus throughout the subscription period. Investors will closely monitor demand across retail, non-institutional, qualified institutional investor categories, and the anchor book before the proposed listing on August 14, 2026.
