Metalic Technoforge IPO Opens Today; ₹49.96 Crore NSE SME Issue Witnesses Healthy Investor Interest on Day 1

Metalic Technoforge Limited has officially opened its Initial Public Offering (IPO) for public subscription today, July 21, 2026. The SME public issue will remain open until July 23, 2026, while the company's shares are proposed to be listed on the NSE Emerge platform on July 28, 2026. The company aims to raise ₹49.96 crore through a completely fresh issue of 64.88 lakh equity shares, ensuring that the entire proceeds will be used for business expansion and growth initiatives.

The IPO has been priced in the range of ₹72 to ₹77 per equity share. The issue has reserved 50% for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), 15% for Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs), and 35% for retail investors. Anchor investors participated ahead of the public issue, reflecting encouraging institutional confidence before the subscription opened.

Established in 2016, Metalic Technoforge Limited is engaged in the manufacturing of closed-die forged and precision-machined engineering components used across automotive and industrial applications. The company's product portfolio includes forged rings, ball studs, gear blanks, gears, coupling assemblies, and several safety-critical precision components supplied to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in India as well as international markets.

The company serves customers across multiple industries including automotive, agriculture, construction equipment, hydraulics, heavy engineering, and industrial machinery. By catering to diversified end-user industries, Metalic Technoforge has reduced dependence on a single sector while building long-term customer relationships with domestic and export-oriented manufacturers.

According to the company's offer document, the largest portion of the IPO proceeds will be utilized for establishing Manufacturing Unit IV and upgrading existing production facilities at its Rajkot manufacturing complex. These investments are expected to significantly enhance production capacity, improve manufacturing efficiency, and strengthen the company's ability to execute larger customer orders. Around ₹30.81 crore has been earmarked for capacity expansion, while ₹6.72 crore will be used for repayment of certain borrowings.

Financially, Metalic Technoforge has reported strong growth during FY2026. The company recorded revenue of nearly ₹98 crore, compared to approximately ₹76 crore in the previous financial year. Profit after tax also increased to around ₹12.36 crore, reflecting improved operational efficiency, higher production volumes, and stronger demand for precision-engineered products. The company's improving financial performance has supported positive investor sentiment ahead of the IPO.

India's precision forging industry continues to benefit from rising investments in automotive manufacturing, infrastructure development, engineering exports, and industrial automation. Government initiatives supporting domestic manufacturing under the Make in India programme and increasing localization of engineering components are creating long-term growth opportunities for companies specializing in forged and precision-machined products. Industry experts expect demand for high-quality engineering components to remain strong over the coming years.

One of Metalic Technoforge's key strengths is its focus on manufacturing high-precision, safety-critical components that require advanced forging technology, CNC machining, and stringent quality control. The company's integrated production capabilities enable it to deliver customized engineering solutions while maintaining consistent product quality for domestic and overseas customers. This has helped the company establish repeat business relationships with several OEMs operating in highly regulated industries.

The IPO has also attracted attention due to the company's healthy profitability metrics. Based on FY2026 financials, the company has reported strong return ratios, including a Return on Equity (ROE) of around 48.66% and Return on Net Worth (RoNW) of approximately 37%, highlighting efficient utilization of shareholder capital. These financial indicators have been viewed positively by market participants evaluating the public issue.

Market observers are closely tracking subscription levels during the three-day bidding period. Early investor participation on the opening day indicates encouraging interest across retail and institutional categories. While Grey Market Premium (GMP) continues to fluctuate based on market conditions, investors are expected to focus more on the company's long-term manufacturing expansion plans and financial growth rather than short-term listing expectations.

Investors should also evaluate certain business risks before investing. The company operates in a competitive engineering manufacturing sector where fluctuations in steel prices, customer concentration, export demand, and working capital requirements may influence future profitability. In addition, successful commissioning of the proposed Manufacturing Unit IV and maintaining high utilization levels will be important for sustaining future growth.

With its IPO now open for subscription, Metalic Technoforge has emerged as one of the notable engineering-sector SME offerings of July 2026. Supported by strong financial growth, capacity expansion plans, improving profitability, and increasing demand for precision-forged components, the company is expected to remain in focus throughout the subscription period. Investors will closely monitor subscription figures until July 23, followed by the allotment process on July 24 and the proposed listing on July 28, 2026.
